I purchased two of these benches: one in white as additional seating for my dining room and one in brown for my entryway. I agree with another reviewer that the white is a softer rather than a stark white, but it doesn't clash with my freshly painted, stark white trim, either. The brown is a VERY dark brown, at least as dark as the espresso-colored legs -- perfect for me because I was actually hoping for the sold-out black color, and the brown reads as black in the indirect light of my foyer, but something to consider if it appears a bit lighter on your screen, as it did on mine. As others have noted, assembly is simple. If you, like me, initially worry that the legs are missing, they're just cleverly stowed beneath a velcro panel under the bench. That panel on one of my benches isn't quite a perfect fit, so the panel is a bit bumpy, but nothing one would ever notice unless looking for it. Certainly, for the price, the quality is a good value, considering I was able to purchase two benches for about what a single bench tended to cost both here and elsewhere. The only reason for a 4-star rather than 5-star review is that the paperwork that came with the bench warns against allowing more than one person to sit on it at a time, so as a piece for additional seating, it may not end up having any advantage over a chair.
