Overall: I'm very pleased with this bed frame. It's modern but not ultra contemporary; it's soft (no corners to scrape yourself on!) but sturdy; it's simple but has some nice features (drawers at foot, styling at headboard). And for me, the color is pretty true to the picture (i.e., medium gray).
A small warning: The platform base that the mattress will sit on comes up to about 15" off the ground (if I recall correctly) so take that into account when choosing a mattress height. (I did not, so our bed is VERY tall. Had to get an ottoman so our dog could jump up there with us. Also, the pillows cover up the lower ridges of the headboard when they're fully upright.)
An unexpected benefit: I like that the "borders" of the frame are a few inches thick and I can rest my feet on them when sitting on the edge of the mattress.
A few nitpicks: From head to foot, our mattress (also purchased from Overstock) fits perfectly, but from side to side, there is some extra space between the mattress and the frame, meaning that you can see the slats peeking out. I don't love that... but it basically gets hidden by the comforter when the bed is made, so it's not a deal-breaker. Also, one of the little wooden support beams under the drawers near the foot of the bed is plain wood, not polished/painted like the feet in the corners, and you can see it from certain angles. Again, not a deal-breaker, but it would be nicer if it matched the feet.
Regarding assembly: It was tedious and took both me and my husband about 2-2.5 hours. But it was fairly straightforward.
Conclusion: The frame still pleases me, has received many compliments, and seems to be holding up well, 9 months later. (No squeaks, no broken parts, no tightening of bolts or screws needed so far.) Especially since I purchased this on sale (just after Thanksgiving 2015) I feel it was a good value and would buy this brand/style again.
