Very great skillet,anyone looking to purchase you with not regret it at all.

Great skillet but how it was shipped and its arrival condition was a joke. This is a big heavy pan, it shifts around in it flimsy cardboard box. When it arrived the handle was sticking out of one side of the box, on the other side the smaller gripper handle had broken thru during shipping and had marks on it from hitting things. Thankfully it's heavy cast iron, so no permanent damage, just cosmetic. But c'mon folks, ship this in a sturdier box!

I grew up learning to cook from my grandmother in a cast iron skillet. I yearned for those "good old days". Cast iron is the way to go! However, I forgot about the fact that my nuclear family consists of two adults and one brilliant dog (I should have asked her to place the order). I cook once or twice a week and don't throw dinner parties, I should have noticed the "5 Quart" part (even 3 Quarts would have been more than enough for some yummy leftovers). That said, by all means order this if you are way into cooking and have many to cook for. It arrived beautifully but its size overwhelmed us. When I get around to it guess I'll be getting the 3 Qt. pan - w/o the lid. Great Offer Stock has a nifty collection. Just wish more was not brought in from China!

I live in an apartment on the third floor with vaulted ceilings. The last thing I want to do in the summer is turn on the stove or oven but I still want to cook! I recently received an induction cooktop as a gift and needed a pan that I could use with the cooktop. This skillet has been perfect for all of my cooking needs. It is heavy duty and the lid creates a nice seal. The size is perfect for cooking a meal for two or anything you want, really. This is a great pan for induction stove tops or for anything really! I am looking forward to buying more of these in different sizes.

This pan is Very heavy and works beautifully. Seasoned it on the gas grill, which was a really good idea kept that smell out of the house. Works great for indoor or outdoor cooking. You can literally cook anything in it,

This is a nice big skillet and can use for anything on top of stove or in oven. When first received I scrubbed and re-seasoned it (use Crisco and bake in oven) - it is great and will last forever!

It is X-tra large for those big meals and it comes already cured!

This cast iron pan is the best pan I have ever used! It's heavy, seasoned and we cook most of our meals in it. It's easy to clean and the lid is an extra bonus.

I only used this to baked bread so far. This is a nice heavy skillet.

You can't go wrong with a large cast iron skillet and the price was right. The lid is a great feature, good for slow cooking chili.

I love it, if I you keep it well seasoned it well last forever

This is a heavy weight skillet that can handle about anything that you can throw in it. Great for fajitas, cornbread, mac and cheese and more. So far, it's been easy to clean too! Especially enjoying having a lid for a cast iron skillet.

Can't go wrong with cast iron. Only wish it came with instructions for keeping the pan seasoned as it was a gift to my daughter.
