I had been shopping for a vanity for a few months. We were replacing the pedestal sink with a vanity so we could have more storage. However, I didn't want one of those ubiquitous vanities that just looks like a cabinet and is kind of junky, I wanted something that looked more like furniture. I initially found this item on the website for a store that primarily uses blue in it's branding, but they wanted a LOT more money for it. Then, I received a coupon from Great Offer Stock so I decided to pull the trigger because now it was significantly less expensive than before.
So. Two weeks before Christmas, I get a call saying I have a 'large item delivery' and I was a bit taken aback because it wasn't supposed to arrive until AFTER Christmas. Well that's just fine with me. So I arrange to be home that day. The delivery man shows up with this HUGE box which I proceed to open before he leaves so I can check for damage. HOLY AMAZING PACKAGING! It took a good 15 minutes to un box the vanity because of all the packaging. First, there were a few nicks on the box so I was a little concerned, that quickly vanished when I discovered that inside the box there was a piece of 3/4" plywood, THEN a full layer of solid styrofoam (not the wimpy stuff that gets everywhere), THEN the whole vanity was wrapped in cellophane!
The vanity is unboxed & undamaged & sitting in my entry. While it was there I took advantage of the open back which allowed me to install the faucet and the drain assembly without issue (SO MUCH easier than trying to do it with the vanity and sink against the wall). LOVE that feature because it also means I don't have to cut holes in the back of my brand new vanity to get the water supply into it. Now, the only problem I did run across is that the drain J trap touches the bottom of the shelf inside the vanity (the top of the floor inside the vanity is 14 5/8" from the floor), so it was a tight fit there.
The vanity looks exactly as pictured - beautiful white top, true white paint, drawer that opens smoothly, doors that don't slam and I didn't even have to put the satin nickel door pulls on! I really love this vanity, it really adds an extra 'oomph' to my bathroom. I would buy it again if I needed another single vanity.
