High Quality Vanity...Not Easy to Install
I would give this vanity 5 Starts for quality, and 3 Stars for installation.
The quality of the vanity is very good. This is on the caliber of high end furniture with quality wood fronts, and soft closers on the drawers. The vanity top is not a high quality, and you have to epoxy the sink basin yourself. You may want to consider buying a high quality top at a big box store. This top works, but does easily stain. The mirror is very nice and high quality (and very heavy)
The problem is with the shelf in the center of the vanity. First, the back of the vanity has only a 8" x 8" hole cut for ALL of your plumbing, so obviously, that is not going to work. So, first you have to cut out the back of this nice piece of furniture. That is easy enough, but what is much worse is the center shelf in the center of the cabinet.
The center shelf goes all the way from the front of the vanity to the back. It's almost like however designed this vanity forgot that the cabinet actually has a sink above it that requires a drain line. There is no way to install this vanity without sawing away at the center shelf. And, unfortunately, this shelf is glued and doweled into the cabinet divider, so you will make a mess of this fine cabinet by having to hack at the center shelf, and cut and pull away nearly about one half of the shelf.
We bought some flat black paint off the shelf and that was a good match on where we had to cut the center shelf. However, however designed this piece, should have taken into account the sink drain that was being installed only inches above it.
After the installation, we were very happy with the finished product, and the quality of the installation. We have been using these for about four months, and other the top that easily stains, the rest of the cabinet has been flawless and very high quality.
