MANY CAVEATS ON THIS. This cabinet is about a half-day project, so buyer beware. It's a nice enough piece for many uses. I needed one in my kitchen with moulding to match what's on the top of my cabinets. I have a small wall next to the coffee pot that needed a cabinet to hold coffee-related things (so I could get them off of my window ledge). This was the right cabinet for the job, but there are quite a few things you should upgrade on your own. Use wood glue to hold the pegs in better. Use "Gorilla" hooks, the largest ones rated for heavy items, if you have to install into drywall without studs. This cabinet is heavier that you think. It only comes with two 10 cent wood screws and a couple of plastic drywall anchors to install it on the wall. This is a joke. Try to install into studs with longer wood screws of your own (or use the hooks as above if no studs are available). Also, you may want to consider adding white caulk around it to further secure it to the wall. I finally got mine up after 8 hours of work, but until I caulk it I will not be totally confident of the installation. The weight of the piece requires better installation hardware.
This cabinet was the perfect addition to the bathroom. It's a great place for small items, just as shown in the photo. I have candles and flowers sitting on top of it, and it makes the bathroom feel more like a spa, rather than just a boring bathroom. The reason I gave it a 'good' rating rather than an 'excellent' rating, is because when I put it together, it was missing a couple small parts, but I made due. It was pretty easy to put together. By myself, it took about 40 minutes and I just went step by step on the instructions.
My husband put it together without difficulty. Looks a little fancier than other over the toilet cabinets with the multi panes and crackled glass inset. Would rate this 5 stars but it came scratched on the top and I HATE to receive damaged goods. We kept it because the top is not going to show at the height we're installing it.
Assembles easily. Looks good when done. Just a warning for almost all furniture these days: its lightweight pressboard. I tightened one of the locks a bit too much and it started to press through the board. Like all pressboard, in humid climates it will sag eventually. I used a small bead of carpenters glue around all mating surfaces to help hold it. The top opening holds the cable box and blue ray perfectly. Don't put anything heavy on it or sag will come sooner. I live in the desert so think it may last quite a while with our 11 - 30% humidity. Assembled it's a good looking accent piece.
