I ordered some 5 or 6 other smaller rugs hoping to find something I liked and then finally ordered the 4x6 of this rug. The background color is a cross between gray, celadon green and aqua. If you are looking for a true blue/aqua rug, I'm not sure this is your rug. If you are looking for a rug that picks up taupes, soft golds, beige, and pale green, then this is perfect. It is worth noting that the pattern of the rug is not symmetrcial, which doesn't bother me, and that the pattern is huge, which in the 10x14 I think gives it a more transitional, updated look. It is shedding like crazy, but I am hoping that slows down as I really love the colors.
