We took a risk in purchasing this rug as it had no brand attached to it. To our pleasant surprise, these hand-loomed rugs (along with all the others being sold at Great Offer Stock with the distinctive 6-in-1 color pallette picture to represent the different colors) are actually Surya rugs, but are probably being sold without mention due to contractual agreements for Great Offer Stock items. The rug actually has the Surya label, which is where I got the name and model number. For further proof, if you browse to Surya's own website, you will find these rugs there with the same stock pictures. I must say that the color shown in this picture is a little more muted than in real life, but that worked to our advantage in that we were hoping this rug would be more properly maroon than the brown that is shown in the pictures, and it is. Surya's own website calls this "Burgundy" but very helpfully also lists the "Pantone" number for the color which will allow you to get an exact view of the color by looking up the Pantone number on the internet or at any paint store (its a universal numbering system for colors, if you weren't aware).
The quality is excellent and the rug is very plush. It is made in India and 100% wool. There is a slight defect where one of the striations is missing in a corner of the rug. We thought about returning it for another, but we aren't really bothered by it much and suspect that these are probably factory seconds that Surya is unloading, which explains why these are significant less expensive than the retail version, and therefore, may end up with another with a more significant defect. If these are, in fact, factory seconds, Great Offer Stock would do well to say so.
All in all, we are very happy with the purchase!
