If I could I would give this stuff 6 stars I would!!. Although I have a beautiful face, I have huge pores on both my cheek bones that I believe are genetic. I can stand a normal distance from the mirror and can see them and it drives me nuts! I'm a complete moron when it comes to beauty products b/c they're all so confusing?! But one day following a professional skin analysis at Super Wal-Greens beauty counter, the beautician recommended LA ROCHE-POSAY EFFACLAR PORE-REFINING SERUM. I had already been using La Roche-Posay and VICHY (it's sister product) skin products (soaps, sun-screens, primers) and they've NEVER let me down. So I decided to roll the dice on this with minimal expectations b/c I know my pores are stubborn.
However, after weeks of daily use (2x/day) my pores are the smallest they've been since I was kid! Some have even disappeared! I will admit, it took almost finishing the bottle before I noticed a SIGNIFICANT difference, but even my stubborn pores couldn't withstand this powerful potion.
I think my disciplined and beautician-recommended regiment helped too. This is what I do;
-
AM
-cleans with exfoliate and cold water--no soap
-half of tube of EFFACLAR SERUM spread directly on pores and evenly on face.
-Primer
-Moisturizer with Sun-screen
-Make-up
PM
-Make-up remover
-Facial soap cleans with cold-water
-half of tube of EFFACLAR SERUM spread directly on pores and evenly on face.
-Moisturizer
Other essentials for healthy-facial skin care (from a beautician);
Nightly-only soap cleanse--Once a day is enough b/c soap strips natural oils of skin
AM Exfoliate--daily or every other day to remove dead skin for rejuvenation
Cold Water washes only--FOREVER--Hot water loosens elasticity in the face, cold water preserves it.
Mask--once a week. I do a camphor mask by Vera Moore. It literally pulls toxins out of your face thru your pores.
Dry face with towels by pushing up toward your forehead--pulling down loosens elasticity.
Also, sun-screen, hydration and sleep.
Hope this helps!
