This is a very nice palette. The packaging is gorgeous. It is hot pink faux leather with the gold YSL logo on the front, and is trimmed in gold on the sides. Inside is black. It includes a large mirror, and small blush and lips brushes, and a sponge tip eyeshadow applicator. They are OK to use in a pinch, but I much prefer real brushes. It comes in the box as pictured, and that is wrapped in cellophane.
The blush is a light, cool-toned pink that looks very nice on my fair skin. It has a nice, smooth texture and blends beautifully. It can be built up a bit darker.
The two lipsticks are really nice and creamy. There is a carnation pink shade and a bright fuchsia. Both were long-lasting. The fuchsia will stain your lips a bit.
The eyeshadows are not as good as I hoped, unfortunately. It's pretty disappointing for this brand and its price point. The deep purple shade is the best, and is great with or without primer. It is smooth, intensely pigmented, and applies and blends like a dream. The plum shade isn't as pigmented, and is a bit dry. The color is very pretty, but it needs primer and a little building up. The lavender is the worst, being the most dry and having little pigmetation without primer. With primer, it is a pretty highlighter shade. The pink is a bit on the dry side, and has more fallout than the others. It is fairly soft, but the pigmentation without primer is only so-so. With primer, it is a lovely color. So, the colors can be made to work with primer, but with a luxury brand like YSL, they shouldn't have to.
