I live in Texas where it is incredibly humid so I've been told moisturizer is not necessary. I have combination skin. At times it could be extremely oily to the point where people ask MY why my face is shiny then there are times where I put on my makeup and my skin is so dry that makeup catches heavily on certain areas or I smile and my face feels very tight. I have had consistent acne for the last 10 years of my life (I am currently 21) and have tried proactiv, oral medication prescribed by dermatologists, Murad, retanoid topicas, and rich salacydic acid face washes. None of which did the trick in the long run and my face also suffered extreme peeling and redness in the process. I found this stuff at a local medical spa where my best friend works ($**) and she recommended when I told her my theory of oily skin.
My theory: oily skin happens because we are over drying our skin with medications, constant face washing, and not using a moisturizure so our skin is over producing the oil to compensate.
I think maybe I was onto something because once I started using this serum, my skin has been clear since my pores aren't opening and closing due to dryness and humidity, (it always stays the same texture now) my skin is no longer shiny, I am not dry, makeup goes on absolutely phenomenal, and my skin tone is completely even.
I am obsessed. $**-** is so worth it considering it is being sold at high end skin places for $**+.
Disclosure: the product is a this serum so it is a little tacky which I was warned about prior to using it my first time. The tackiness does not bother me especially when I put it on at night because once it dries, it absorbs very well. If you put it on in the morning as well like I do, I recommend letting it dry for 5 minutes while you're getting dressed and brushing your teeth since it is tacky at first. I don't let it dry, I have found that putting on my specific brand of tinted sunscreen which is a dry/gritty texture, my makeup goes on very well. Please use a very small droplet size. You'll know why when you receive the bottle, the products holds the content very well so a small amount is actually quite a bit.
I hope if you decide to purchase, you love it as much as I have loved it for about 4 months now.
