Mitsy is the china white heroin of perfumery... The 1st time you try it, it may just make your head swim in a cloud of nausea. Many of the bravest adventurers will never try it again.
For those whom do, The 2nd time, you still don't dig it- its still too heady & makes you nauseous; Some more brave explorers drop out here. Yet, for others, there's something SO intriguing, you feel strangely compelled to re-visit...
3rd use, you realize that you CAN make it through the initial overpowering, head-swimming sensory overload of stage 1, & BLISS follows! A good 12-20 hours, in fact!
Congrats- and, sorry! You've developed a taste for the worlds' finest perfume... (Most frequently referenced as such by expert parfeumers). Everyone will come to know you as the one who smells soooo good, they're certain you must have spent a fortune on your fragrance! (The "sorry" is because you'll now need Mitsy in your perfume rotation lifelong, & nothing else will compare.)
At this point, youve fallen down the Guerlain rabbit hole, & are exploring Shalimar, Samsara, L'heure Bleue, Vol de Nuit, the Agua Allegorias, +++ !!! Plus, you are realizing that Houses of Dior, Chanel, Caron, and a magnificent group of French perfeumers, long-established (Fragonard, Penhegalion, Annick Goutal, etc), still currently offer century-old, epic perfumes, and with newer niche & a return to artisanship over the past several decades (Lutens, Tauer, Malle, Rosine, +++) are offering SICK scents; in a return to renaissance perfuemery- much of it is relatively affordable, and you can/must have it !!!
Mitsouko- "Mystery" = exquisite, hardcore perfumery!
