People like to make fun of so called "preppers" We aren't waiting for a Zombie Apocalypse but we do believe in being prepared for a natural disaster or even having our car breakdown in a place we may have to hike out to get cell reception or as happened twice within a 4 month period our city's water supply was contaminated. I gifted this to my sister who does a lot of driving, many times with her Dog along. I urged her to keep this as well as dog food in the trunk of her car. We made one of these kits ourselves for our daughter who along with her dog travels around the country. This past weekend she met up with some friends in Vail, CO for a hiking trip. She thankfully had her Emergency Kit with her as the person who was bringing the water, his water tank became tainted. My daughter had the tablets to put in to make the water drinkable. They also needed matches (no one thought to bring) as well as the First Aid kit. All these things used and not even a disaster. People need to think how they will sustain themselves in a Power Outage, Gas lines turned off. Water contamination etc. We have a section in our home with enough food rations to last months, water to last weeks at least and we never leave home without our emergency kits
