I can only hope they have improved the quality of their backpack since 2 years ago when I purchased!! There are a lot of items in this kit and it is well-organized, but the backpack I was sent was not well-padded, was black and WHITE, did not have the pockets shown, and there was a huge pocket at the bottom of the bag that only attached at the back of the bag with the material and the sides and front of the bag with the zipper. I just didn't feel the zipper would be strong enough, should I have to hike or even just walk around a bit. There was a lot of stuff stored in that compartment! I gave it 4 stars despite the backpack because I went to * and purchased one there on sale for $* when I could afford it, and everything is now in that one, plus the kit is really decent. It really is organized. Or at least it was back then. It still is in my new backpack. I added some of my own things to the backpack that I felt it was lacking. It came with everything it said it did. I was surprised that there were all these pouches and I had to arrange them myself in the backpack when it all arrived, though. That was interesting. I don't know if this helps or not, given the lag in time between the purchase and now. If not, I'm sorry. Take care!

I am not a prepper. Having said that I do beleve that it is wise to have a bug-out emergency bag just in case you and your family are ever ordered to leave your home--e.g. flood. This bag has enough room for extras: I have a dog so I have a canine first aid bag, flea/tic/heartworm medication, food, treats extra water, pads, sweater/coat, toys, leach, muzzle. I also have a 5 gallon water bag, life straws plus medications/vitamins; also had enough room to add to the included first aid kit--dental emergency repair/pain relief, eye wash, ear ache relief, nose spray/cold & flu products, tissues. PLEASE consider purchasing a bug out bag for every member of your family including pets. Please remember to rotate (check shelf life) the extra products you put in your bag--e.g. medications. If you have a couple carabiners this bag can accomodate them for light items.

A pretty good assortment of equipment for a brief (3-day) emergency. It needs to be supplemented with a good multi-tool and some additional medical supplies (quick-clot sponge, for instance), and you'll want to put some extra clothing in. But definitely one of the better kits I've seen

This stored for any disaster. It has everything I could need for a few days, I bought it because every home should have a disaster kit. It all appears to be properly sealed and fits well in the accompanying back pack. Also room for a few extra personal items and papers.

The backpack in itself is very sturdy and seems as though it will withstand whatever is thrown it's way. Everything that comes with the backpack was labeled, organized, and exactly as shown. Definitely a great buy.

  • Bug Out Backpacks an absolute must these days!
    Verified Purchase

We purchased the Bug Out Survival bag for our 17-yr.-old granddaughter to keep in the trunk of her car for her well-being as well as ours. We are in earthquake country and keep emergency backpacks in our cars and houses, as it just makes sense to do so. It takes time and skill to make up a bag that is so compact and complete, so we'll be purchasing more of these handy life-savers for gifts that say we care.
