Blue Rhino SkeeterVac Outdoor Mosquito Trap
Simple installation. Yes it burns propane about a tank every 3-4 weeks and octenol lures every 60 days but reduced mosquitoes by approximately 60 %- we can now enjoy our deck. Doesn't truly cover an acre but is loaded with mosquitoes every 2 weeks when I dump their dead bodies with a smile. I am a pest control professional considering installing and maintaining these for clients along with a program. Between this and some repellent granules around your deck you can really fight back against these little vampires. We also employ electric fly swatter when activity is worst at night. Easy to assemble, frame could be stronger (plastic) and no way to truly anchor device itself, only base (meaning, I'm locking this thing down...jealous mosquito ridden neighbors may get curious about y nightly disco partys...the l.e.d. lights are slightly visible at night) Good luck in your own bug battles....this is handy weapon to have. We'll see about longevity. Also, I don't suggest blue rhino prpoane swaps..they give you 15 lbs of gas vs the standard 20 lb your tank can hold/avail. at local hardware stores that FILL your tank, not swap it....for less *** Sorry blue Rhino. Good product though! Cheaper Octenol lures available for other units and work just fine too. Price is hefty and takes some real consideration but consider triple E or malaria.
