Several neighbors suffered extensive damage from a nearby lightning strike which prompted me to upgrade my surge protection. I purchased a Tripp-Lite TLP1008TEL Surge Protector for my entertainment center based on the reviews I read. As I searched for similar protection at a cheaper price, I discovered the Tripp-Lite SUPER7TEL surge protector. It has very impressive specifications. It has a joule rating of 2520, response time of < 1 ns, clamping voltage of 150V, with let through ratings of L-N 330V, L-G 400V, N-G 400V. It includes phone line surge suppression. It has 7 outlets with a 7 ft cord. I am very pleased with the Tripp-Lite SUPER7TEL because it pretty much meets the recommended specifications for good surge suppression.

This Surge Protector is the perfect size for behind my TV. I love that it has an outlet on top and botton for my bigger plugs and also the end outlet can accommodate a bigger longer plug as well. The last surge protector I had did not have them and my bigger plugs would cover up multiple oulets. I love that it has a small green power light and a small red grounded light so that you know it is working. If you need a 7 outlet surge protector look no further.

I like the lights that let me know the unit is fully functional. I also like the amp ratting and the surge protection. I have had no problem with the unit, have used for over a year

Can't comment on the "protection" yet but seems to be very functional, 8 ft cord is handy. My only issue (minor) which has been mentioned by other reviewers is the "on/off' switch is kind of loose; might be shut off inadvertently.

Bought several to use on my stereo equipment, and several TVs throughout the house. I haven't experienced any storms or electrical spikes since I bought them, but feel comfortable that they will work as advertised.

Using for my home telecom board, easy to mount to the board with enough outlets for my equipment. Doesn't have the insurance fine print of another major brand.

My devices were shutting down as the old powerstrip could not handle the load and was not surge protected. This one solved all my issues. I ended up order more to replace my colleagues old powerstrips. Would definitely recommend!

I am so glad that I purchased the Tripplite surge protector. I have lost power many times and have been in many storms. It is very reliable and worth every penny.

This is an extremely well made, durable, quality product, unlike any other brand or model at this price point. This model and better at Tripp Lite cut off power if the surge protector becomes compromised. For under $35 you can even have models with an audible alarm on top of that before they even begin to fail. Think about this... In a bad storm, you often have multiple lightning hits. Most brands and types of surge protectors keep functioning as mere power strips after being damaged, and with no warning whatsoever! That second hit will then fry all of your equipment and even void your original warranty, leaving you completely out of luck and with no recourse. This model also has good line filtering for when other appliances like HVAC or those needing high startup power create voltage spikes and interference for home theater and sensitive electronic equipment. Most computer and electronics failures are due to a series of many repeated spikes rather than single direct hits. You can go five dollars cheaper but it is only foolish to risk it. This model is absolutely the best made and best bang for your buck. It will handle anything plugged into it that draws less than 15 amps simultaneously. I personally own 7 of these for everything less than my home theater setups and can not recommend them more highly. However, this model can indeed handle a home theater system no problem. The only electric/electronic device in my home not on a Tripp Lite is my toothbrush, because the outlet is too close to the sink and a safety risk. I do not work for Tripp Lite nor am I getting paid for this review. I'm an Electronics Engineer who lives in the Midwest where there are frequent storms and would like to save you from future regret at having made simple mistakes with your own devices trying to save 5 dollars somewhere else. You can't find better surge protectors below this model. Anybody worth their salt in my field knows that Tripp Lite surge protectors are the best made, bar none.

I needed a fairly heavy extension to handle several electrical items. This does the job well. I have a couple other identical units, also working just fine. Happy with price, function and speedy delivery.

I used the 7-outlet Surge Protector were I had to plug Verizon Fios in to get power. It let me know that the outlet was wired correctly. Now I feel safe that my Fios is protected.

My bedroom has only a couple of outlets and I used to plug and unplug everything. Now I have the 12 ft long cord and I can use the devices needed and charge them too. I love the bright indicator light that reminds me to turn it off when I don't need it.

Great cord length 7 feet most are 6 foot and plugs in Canada are 12 feet apart clever. Good warranty and value.
