I needed to upgrade my laptop from Toshiba Satellit running XP for a presentation (although I could have done in on XP...). But I got the opportunity to get a new one (new to me...). So I looked for a good reliable Toshiba like I had. Not being available, I found this Lenovo ThinkPad that I thought would be about as good.
My search parameters were Win10 8GB SSD and had a choice of a T410 or T510 for reasonable prices. I was weak and went with the bigger screen. Both had many, many ports and DVD writer, so I was very, very happy. Can't seem to find that on new laptops much anymore. Too much like tablets; I like tablets but I needed a laptop!
I received the order in a timely fashion, so I was able to make my presentation without any last minute frantic rushing.
The PC was refurbished by Joy Systems and it came with a refurb Microsoft Win 10 COA. I have not gotten online yet to officially activate it, but I expect absolutely no problems.
The laptop looked in perfect condition; it looked like it was brand new. Of course it wasn't, so the battery doesn't hold a charge as good as a new one, but it far exceeds the minimum 45 minutes specified as acceptable in a refurb. Ebay, here i come...
All drivers loaded without any trouble (I've seen complaints about other vendors from other companies, so I was worried...). The machine has performed flawlessly so far. As I use more features I will have a better feel for it, but my impression so far is "clear sailing".
I rated this a SOLID purchase because the price was OK and hardware looked good and acted right. I may upgrade to LOVED IT in the future if it continues to work flawlessly.
