I purchased this unit together with the multimedia remote and use it as a spare computer for my home and to work with. I like the fact that it takes up no space in my office as it simply connects to the back of my TV. I use it for certain tasks such as to transfer files from network drives to cloud, and other tasks and I connect to it for such tasks remotely from other computers. I like using it for apps such as Netflix on my TV, as this means that I can use a mouse and keyboard for navigation and searches on the Netflix app, which I find more convenient than other remote input devices such as the generic on TV keyboard. So far the computer has been running for a week without being turned off and overheating does not seem to be an issue, which surprised me for a device so small. What helps with cooling is the fact that the bracket that attaches the device to the back of the TV seems to leave a nice sized gap between device and the surface of the TV, which helps promote ventilation around the unit. One thing to be aware of is that the power necessary for this unit will likely be greater than what your TV USB power port will output, so you will likely need to use the provided power adapter, so make sure that you have an extra power outlet available on your power bar for this. This also means that if your TV is attached to a bracket on the wall, and you do not have a spare power plug in the back of the unit then you will likely have to run a USB extension down to an area where there is an extra outlet. I did connect a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard to the unit, and although I have not yet added a microSD card for extra storage, I anticipate needing to do so in the future and am grateful that there is the option to do so.
