If you're looking at this cartridge here at greatofferstock.com then you've more than likely done your homework. There are tons of reviews and feedback online regarding the sonic abilities of the AT95E cartridge; the accolades are many and I have yet to find anything to dispute them. This is the first phono cartridge I've bought that wasn't a Shure ...and I'm wondering why I waited. This cartridge lays to rest the myth you *always* have to spend great amounts of money in order to get a well-sounding phono cartridge; do not fear the low price. Getting small sonic improvements above those of the AT95E will cost you large amounts of money. If you are a penultimate audiophile (for which cost is no object in search of sonic purity) then you will have equipment to take advantage of that pursuit ...and more than likely pass up this cartridge. For the rest of us, with mid-grade or lower turntables, this cartridge will fill the bill and not break the bank. I am using this cartridge on a vintage Technics SL-B3 turntable and it is part of a setup to make digital transfers of my vinyl collection. As a side note, as with any phono cartridge, it is *imperative* you mount and set the correct geometry, tracking force and anti-skate based on the cartridge and tonearm. This is no small feat and requires patience and attention to detail. There are alignment tools available to help accomplish this. In order to get the best this cartridge has to offer ...and it is a very good "best" ...then you must set it up properly. Otherwise you really are just wasting your money. On a downside, and this has nothing to do with the cartridge, greatofferstock.com has some serious flaws in how they choose to package something as delicate and small as this cartridge. The cartridge itself is packaged in a small, thin, cardboard box ...by itself no where near rugged enough to be shipped without additional padding/protection. The box contains the cartridge, mounting screws and the instructions. The neanderthals in the Great Offer Stock shipping department simply dropped the cartridge box in a huge "padded" envelope and put it in the mail. Needless to say when I got it, the cartridge box was crushed and the envelope had a tear in it. Fortunately nothing was lost or damaged despite the cheesy lame packing. Based on this, I would *not* recommend you buy this from Great Offer Stock. Me, personally, if this is how Great Offer Stock handles shipping with something as simple and easy as this cartridge, I'd hate to find out how they handle larger more expensive merchandise. I will thing long and hard before I ever buy anything again from these people. You should too.
