Just ok...
If the return policy were a little better, I'd probably send this back, but...
Here's the good:
1) I wanted a zip-top canvas bag that could stand up to how hard I am on my purses (and not just a tote bag) and I think this will fit the bill in that regard.
2) The color is very slightly browner than shown, which is actually a plus for me.
3) Very large and deep, which is what I wanted.
It's very stiff now but canvas softens as it ages, so that's also fine.
The not-so-good:
1) The "tablet" pocket is padded. I guess if you're going to use it for that, it's a plus; for me, I won't and it's not. It adds a bulk that I'm not thrilled with, and I'm going to see if I can take it out altogether.
2) It's from a brand called "Preferred Nation", not "Goodhope", which is false advertising. I didn't want something made in another country. (Maybe the country of manufacture was on the detail page and I missed it.)
3) The entire lining is thin nylon (not high-quality rip-stop) which is not durable over years of wear.
All in all, I'm not particularly pleased, but this is the closest thing that met my criteria (plain color/no design, zip top, short handles AND a long strap, outer pocket for essentials) that didn't cost a fortune, so I'll keep it. I share bags with my mom, so I know she'll use it, too. If the cons don't bother you, it'll probably be great for you, and it is a decent price point.
