I love this coat, I got the black version. The color is a true black, not a reddish black and not a dark navy, just black black. The fabric is a good quality, warm but not overly bulky but not cheep thin either. Very nicely tailored and well constructed. The lining is a quilted shiny black and matches the shell nicely. The buttons are metal and are riveted on securely. It was plenty warm when I was out in 20 degree weather. It looks good with or without the removable inner bib. If you take out the bib you can't zip up the coat anymore. It just does not work like that. The outer pockets, It has 2 not 4 (at least the one got did not have the upper pockets) They are very deep. I put both gloves, my keys (with a pepper spay can on them), my Galaxy 3 phone (in Otter box), and a pack of cigarettes (I smoke 100's) and Zippo all in one pocket and still had room to put my hand in there when I was walking, and it was not crowded. I could dig around to pull out what I was looking for without taking things out. The inner pocket is deep too, I just have not seen how much I could put in there yet. It would hold a thick checkbook easily and still button close. If you are leery about this coat because of the lower cost (I paid $**.** on Great Offer Stock.com) compared to some other coats. Don't be, this is a nice coat and a great value for the money.
Now to point out the flaws on my new favorite Pea Coat. The sizes they have listed on the size chart don't match the coat. I am a chubby guy. 5'5" with a 42 inch chest, waist and hips. Looked at the size chart, saw I needed a Large or Extra Large (if I wanted to wear a sweater under this). I ordered the extra large. The thing was huge. Had a friend who wears a 46 put it in, he was swimming in it also. I returned it and got a Medium. Still a little big but fits OK, better with a thick sweater on. There was no Small available when I ordered. If you are or have a big guy who likes this style of coat but thinks he can't wear them because they never look right (my issue), This coat looks good and hangs right even if you have a gut. Several of my chubby/fat friends have wanted to tried it on and it looks good and hangs right on all of them.
On a style note. My personal style is to wear a scarf under the collar hanging down either side. I got a 7 inch wide fleece scarf. it does not fit under there well. The color lays down flat in back and even this thin scarf was to bulky and ruined the clean look.
