it's a mattress pad it is a mattress pad, not a puffy, filled, foamed, etc. It is definitely cotton, which is what I wanted. washed it, no problems fitting on the bed

All cotton, filling and shell, hard to find I am sensitive to synthetic fabrics and was happy to find this 100% cotton pad. It is not thick and lofty, but is well made and allowed for a cooler sleep. Thinking about getting another for easy rotation and laundering.
