Although all shades of purple are my favorite color, have always hesitated to use them in furnishings because they can be very "in your face" loud or obnoxious. This set however is NOT like that. It is a mix of many colors in a tasteful paisley design. Paisley is one of those classic, been around for 100's of years that is never tiring because there is always a new detail or area to discover. Even hubby loves it, and he can tend to be either indifferent or actively dislike design touches. The only possible complaint about this set is that it it printed rather than woven, which means the design appears on only one side.

Completely fade after one wash.
After one gentle cold water wash, the flat sheet and pillow case faded drastically. The fitted sheet retained most of its color. I washed the sheets separately in the same load.

They're cotton flannel, which usually doesn't give you a thread count. There was nothing about thread count on the packaging. I can say, these sheets are a good weight and have washed well about a dozen times since I purchased them. They fit an 18-inch mattress easily. Some flannel has a tendency to "pill" which these have not done. The colors are still bright. I would purchase them again.

The tag just says 100% Cotton Flannel and they are very soft and comfortable. I bought them last season and they are already on the bed! I would definitely recommend them. We live in Northern Michigan and enjoy that extra comfort because it gets very cold up here!
