This is the first mattress encasement I have tried. I was concerned about the difficulty of putting it on the mattress. I was pleased that I was able to put the mattress encasement on by myself in less than five minutes. It was about as easy as changing the sheets. I took it off to launder it and did not have any problem with that procedure either. It does completely cover the mattress and has a zipper. I was curious to see if the waterproof claim was valid, so I poured a cup of water directly on the encasement and waited five minutes. The water was pooled on top of the encasement and I used a sponge to absorb it. I then unzipped the cover and verified that the mattress was completely dry! I was also expecting to have my quality of sleep comprised by using a waterproof product. I put the encasement on and then covered it with a mattress pad and sheets. I have not noticed any negative effects since we started using it. There is no noise like there would be with a plastic cover and I have not noticed any change in the temperature either. We have not noticed a problem with dust mites/allergens or bed bugs, but we may sleep better with the encasement since it provides peace of mind that we are protected against these pests!
I'm a bit of a bug-a-phobe, so when I read about the encasement mattress protection I wanted to have it, especially for our son's bed since he sleeps with his dog. It was fairly easy to put on. Very soft. Great zipper and just puts my mind at ease that my son will sleep bug free. The size was perfect-- not too much extra slack, but I didn't have to stretch it to fit it either.
It's "fine"- but it sounds and feels like you have plastic under your sheets. The noise is probably going to drive me nuts within a week-- it's only been a day and I am already annoyed by it.
I read all reviews first before buying, so I know the good, bad, and helpful hints. My husband and I were very careful, easy to slide on a Tempurpedic mattress, zipped up with no problems. I was a little worried about slickness, but no problems, makes no noise, sheets stay on. As described on product, it doesn't make you sweat. It fits loose enough for adjustable beds and not so loose, it is bothersome to change sheets. Only helpful hint - take the time to put your sheets on properly, tucking in fitted sheets otherwise you'll find yourself in the middle of the night with the fitted sheet popping off one corner at time (LOL).
This is the first mattress cover I have ever used so it was quite the adventure. A couple recommendations I have that I learned. First, you will still want to have a mattress pad on your bed, this does not replace that. Second, getting it on is a LOT easier with two people. Its basically like putting a giant pair of pants on your bed. It sure has been nice though, cuts down on the dust from an old(ish) mattress.
My husband and I have been very pleased with this mattress cover. We haven't tried one before now, but so far we have really appreciated it. I was surprised with how easy it was so put on and it fits perfectly. We love that it helps protect against allergies. My husband has really bad allergies and we have already noticed a difference when he wakes up. This is a great mattress cover!!
These covers are great. I was very nervous about which cover to use, would it keep the critters inside and outside and how it would feel. These covers are well made and feel fine. I recommend this product.

King - just bought the 14" king mattress on "O" and it fits perfect. Keeps the mattress like new.

The mattress protector is very nice quality. Size isn't stingy. Fits and allows some extra room.
I'm not sure how long it will last...it is a lot thinner then most I am used to so curious as to how it will protect from occasional bed wetting since was for my young sons bed. Also, it covers the entire bed...not just the top. So you have slip the entire mattress in from bottom up. Not necessarily a bad thing...but if you don't have someone to help you it would be a little tricky.

Fit a twin size mattress perfectly and so far has done everything it claims to do...Happy with price and product...

Excellent encasement, deep and easy to put in mattress. Love it for the price I paid! Hopefully it will wash well. No smell when opened.
Washed well with detergent. No bleach. Zipper makes sure it's covered. Fits right, almost unnoticable, and defends against water.
Much thinner then I thought it would be I hope that it does last for ten years
