This is a heavy winter blanket, perfect for cold winter nights.

This blanket is indeed "heavyweight," but not so heavy that you feel like your dog is sleeping on top of you. The waffle weave gives it a luxurious feel. The full/queen size has lots of room on the edges to tuck under my 12" full-size mattress. I got purple, which is not an easy color to find in a nice blanket. This blanket washes well and did not leave too much lint in the dryer.

Very warm Easy to clean. Glad I chose this blanket

First, I'm very happy with my purchase. I bought navy and white. I wanted cotton blankets with a nice weave. These are great. Second, I'm realistic and worked in clothing retail for many years so I was prepared for this: Straight up, it reeked of formaldehyde. I had to wash several (4) times before using due to it being treated, it's a natural fabric so it's prone to mold and pests during shipment. I get it. After laundering with oxiclean and natural detergent and vinegar they no longer have ANY chemical smell.

Rich purple, tighter woven so heavier and no snagging. You will love it.
