A bit of comfy, bedtime heaven! We had a VERY think, VERY expensive down topper that was just a bit much for my husband. When I saw this, I thought i'd give it a shot. So very glad I did. It's EXACTLY the the right thickness to add just a bit to our lightly pillow-top mattress, but not so much that we sink into an endless pit of fluffiness. The covering is soft and feels "finished"...no need for any sort of cover. It's held up to washing, as well. If you're thinking about this, buy it. It's well with the cost and has transformed our bed.

Just what I wanted This topper is more like a deluxe mattress pad. I did not want anything plush or thick, and this topper is just great. I sleep on a very firm foam mattress, and this is just the amount of extra I needed to not feel the bedframe under the mattress, which is just under 8" thick. The topper is Land's End, high quality and has a nice cottony feel. Feels like a down comforter and I did wash it in an upright whirlpool and dried it on permanent press just fine. I did not have to take it to a commercial side loading machine. Mine is a queen size so I can't say a king would have fit. High quality, and I am in my late 50's and am very fussy. This says it's waterproof as well, and you would never know it by feel. It feels like it's all cotton, and I am very pleased. Delivery was prompt, I got it within a week.

Not making them like they used too! Recently bought a new mattress and needed a new mattress pad to take the edge off the new mattress and bought this one. What a dissapoint..was made nicely good quality but for the added comfort needed not there. Very flat a doubled towel would have offered more comfort. And as for the "made in Usa" label...don't believe it either it is packaged in the USA stuffing comes from the USA, possibly assembled in the USA but the cover casing comes from an imported source. Last time I checked we had textile factories in the USA. When I buy USA I expect it to be made in the USA. And the famous maker on the title is Lands End.
