The cover, tone on tone, is very nice. i'm returning it though because it is too heavy for Mom - physical weight of the duvet. i peeked inside and there are no straps - if you prefer to anchor your down comforter to the duvet cover which really helps prevent shifting. i'm placing a new order for a different one from Great Offer Stock. This time i opted for a 100 percent down, light weight. i don't know if the new choice has ties, but i can always stitch bias tape or use gross-grain ribbon across each corner, to permit anchor it to the duvet cover. i really wish the manufacturers of the comforters an duvet covers talked to each other - LoL. They'd learn a lot more from customers, though, on the "little things" that truly save time, and frustrating - like a down comforter rolling sideways or down to the foot of the bed. They need something to hang on to. It doesn't have anything to do with the way the duvet cover closes - the ties on the inside of the cover keep the comforter in place. Thank you.
