    Yes, the foam can be cut. An electric knife works quite well. But, the polysilk cover would be too large. Not that the cover is that critical, in my opinion.

    Definitely - I bought two for my childrens bed, then liked it so much i bought one for my kingsized bed, but my husband had a bad back and had to sleep directly on the rock hard mattress I couldn't stand so I cut it in half and used half on my side and the other half on on the guest bed, worked just fine....bed looked funny made though lol!

    Hi! They have extra deep sheets designed for toppers but I got a regular jersey knit sheet that stretched plenty and fits just fine. Hope this helps!

    Hi, I had a queen sheet that was about 13 in deep and it would pop off. I bought a new set of queen sheets that are about 15 in deep and they work fine.

    You will need to measure the depth of your current mattress and add four inches. You can measure the depth of your existing queen sheets to see if they fit or look for new queen sheets that will accommodate a mattress and topper of your depth.

    You might want to change the satin sheets and cover for high thread count cotton. Satin doesn't breathe and traps heat.

    I don't know, but it does feel smooth the way it is. I was wondering that too, before I purchased it (since they looked like spikes in the photo), but I cannot tell that it has the egg carton effect at all when sleeping on the mattress topper.

    Sure. I used it with a mattress pad over it and that gave the same effect. However, I ended up changing it to the egg carton on top, right under my sheet. I like the support it gives and has a bit of a "I'm floating" feeling that way.

    I got mine wet one time. Just took the sheet off that side and it dried quickly. If you need to still sleep in it put a towel down to keep you dry.

    Great comfort. Definitely would recommend. I would not recommend having to roll up to often because of the height of the egg crate design. I think it could get damaged.

    I think it would be just like rolling up a sleeping bag but harder to squish tightly. I think it would be advisable to find a good quality cloth or plastic bag to store it in.

    Yes. We use the egg crate for the same purpose. However, it has been found the more it is used and rolled again some tearing occurs over time. I think it would be best to leave it on the rollaway or sleeper couch if there is enough room to close it.

The Twin weighs approximately 8 pounds, the Full weighs approximately 11 pounds, the Queen weighs approximately 13 pounds, the King weighs approximately 17 pounds and the CA King weighs approximately 17 pounds.

    If you use the numbers provided by Customer Care, the density if it was a flat block averages 1.2 lb/ft^3, but I think the 3.2 lb/ft^3 in the description factors in its egg crate shape which occupies less volume than a full block would. If you calculate it as a full block, it would include the air between the spikes which would technically be erroneous. The shipping box I received is 12.25 x 12.25 x 19 inches. The mattress was folded and rolled up into a very compressed cylinder inside a thick plastic sleeve. The cover was folded in a clear plastic bag alongside it.

    The cover I received is a silk-textured "100% Polyester" fitted sheet that has about 19 inches of depth when stretched. It fits far under my mattress+topper combination. The cover I received does not look like the slipcover in the photos that makes it look like a duvet. One of the two tags on the cover says, "For outer cover before laundering, unzip cover and remove foam. Machine wash, cold gentile cycle. Mild detergent. Air dry. Press with cool iron." It says "unzip cover," but as I said, the one I received is a fitted sheet and therefore does not have a zipper.

    For 2 to 3 days after opening, mine smelled. I left it unrolled to decompress in a well-ventilated place and flipped it every 12 hours so all sides would receive a breeze. After that, I only noticed the smell if I pressed my nose closely between the spikes. As for firmness, it feels like laying on a pile of soft pillows to me. I would prefer for it to have been firmer, but that's a personal preference. Much of its potential firmness is reduced because of its egg crate shape. The spikes make it weaker and softer. To Barbara: the gel material and egg crate shape both contribute to dissipating body heat that usually builds up in regular foam padding. Many retail memory foam toppers are now made of gel because of this. In the opposite situation, it doesn't feel as cold when on a cold mattress, either.
