My husband wasn't sure when I ordered the mattress pad but after putting it on the bed he did say that he doesn't suffer from night sweats anymore and I would have to agree as I use to wake up in a pool of sweat but now with the mattress pad it seems to keep our body temperature at a normal pace

Not as cool as I thought, but adds good cushioning to mattress.

There's a cooling element when you first get into bed with this pad that I appreciate, but it's not enough to combat the heat of the foam mattress. It bunches and pulls in places causing ridges, but they're not uncomfortable - just unsightly.

Starts off cool but warms up through the night. Works fairly well for one without electricity and aids in falling asleep more quickly. Have yet to see how effectively it works in the summer months!

Just like the others have said it doesn't fit my mattress properly. It is too big and moves around. I have a king size bed.

I needed a cooling gel mattress pad and this one fits the bill. It provides some cushioning too. Gel feature is nice - "cooling" is more like temperature regulating. But it works. A good purchase.

Not thrilled with this. I take medication that often makes me feel as though I'm running a fever. This sounded like the perfect solution. It's okay as a mattress pad, but I've not noticed any cooling effects.

Has not helped with cooling during sleep. First wash in my over sized washer cased a large snag. I was really hoping that this would help with keeping me cooler at night. Just does not work. My husband states he doesn't feel a difference, except for it feeling a bit bulky under the fitted sheet.

Bought this to use on our new foam mattress that made me feel too warm. It helps somewhat. Quality is good.

Not what I had expected, was hoping for true cooling feeling while sleeping, and it doesn't. It is more of a mattress cover.

We have slept like babies since we bought this mattress pad. If you're expecting it to literally feel like you're sleeping on a gel pad, you'll be disappointed. It does disperse the heat very effectively and it's incredibly soft! My husband got up after the first night and commented that's the first time he's slept uninterrupted for a while. Same here, I slept much better. It washes fine, I have the king size and an over sized washer, but it takes a long time for it to dry because it is quite thick.

We got this for our son who is a heat box. Since using it he hasn't complained about being hot at night. I don't know if it would be sufficient for someone dealing with hot flashes.
