The thread count must be 300 because the material for especially the crib sheets are very stiff. The threading of the crib sheets are uneven and I'm afraid that they will fall apart easily. On the comforter there are a couple white spots on the gray. I have not put together the mobile yet. The crib skirt is fine as well as the rail guard, no problems. It looks just like the picture and is very cute, but I gave three stars because of quality. Also, my box was delivered opened. (One flap) The tape was uneven and one flap came loose.
