We didn't start here ...
Before the baby: Several friends and family members raved about the Dr. Brown bottles. They said it was a great bottle to prevent air bubbles and gas because of the vent. So I included it on my baby registry and received it as a shower gift. In prepping for the baby's arrival, I opened the packaging to wash the bottle and was frightened away by all the parts and pieces, although I was impressed that a brush was included to clean the little areas. The baby is here ... with colic: He would not stop crying. He was so uncomfortable with gas and I tried EVERYTHING. Gripe water, probiotics, Gerber's soothe since it has the probiotic in it, but I couldn't piece to gather the right combination. I started looking at different bottles. I wrote to a few of the major companies asking for a sample or a coupon, I wasn't sure what would work best for us and didn't want to invest in something that may not be a great fit. My responses ranged from no response to a "sorry we do not do that." A week went by and I received a package in the mail, with a Dr. Brown bottle. They were the only ones that gave something, and that something was a bottle! My boy loved it! And it was a piece of the puzzle we were missing, that and the y-cut nipple which allows thicker liquid and lets my son pick the speed at which he wants to take in his bottle. Moving right along: My son is now 8months old and has a collection of at least 15 bottles (3days worth). His dad took him out for the day and somehow returned home with only the bottles. We were missing the innards, nipples and covers for 3 of the bottles. After a BRU visit and finding just the nipples, and vents I contacted Dr. Brown to inquire about purchasing the cover, and nipple holder. After a quick response from Dr. Brown asking about specifics of the bottle, they said no problem and that they do have replacement parts. I eagerly awaited an invoice and received instead all the replacement parts save the nipples. How awesome was that?! Their customer service went above and beyond my expectations. Am I a loyal customer? Oh most definitely, they had me at the first contact. Would I recommend them? Yup, loudly, to everyone with or soon to have a little one. Thank you Dr. Brown's baby!!!
