It took me 8 long months to find a bottle that i liked. I had twins and thought that my list was pretty simple, easy to clean and doesn't leak. I was shocked by how many bottles leaked or the whole cap would fall off drenching the baby. I tried the regular Dr brown's and I loved it because i had finally found a bottle that didn't leak. But as i had older babies all of the pieces started to get to me especially the little disk under the cap to keep the bottle from leaking when not in use. So I took my limited funds and gambled on the options bottle and it paid off!! All of the benefits of the original plus instead of the disk to keep it form leaking the cap did the trick. Not to mention that i could skip the vent. That made Dr brown's the best bottle i had tried. OUr whole famly fell in love. They also have a preemie flow nipple that was suggested to us by the hospital but we weren't able to get. If i have another preemie this time that will be the first thing i buy. Preemie moms know how hard it is to feed your babies when they struggle to eat. A "simple feeding" turns into a long stressful event because you're so worried about getting the feeding done on time and keeping your precious babies breathing. The right bottle would have helped us in those early days with premature twins so much. This bottle has everything we were looking for and then some.We loved not having to wash all of the pieces that most bottles have. without the vent it is literally just the bottle, the ring, the nipple and the cap. I hate dishes so this ws great and my babies did fine without the vent. The only issue is that if held directly upside down it leaks from the nipple if the cap isn't on, but really that's such a small thing. With this next baby I'm hoping to breastfeed so will be trying the como tomo bottles, but if we don't love those i will definitely be using this bottle, or maybe trying the wide neck version.
