The hammered steel is lightweight without being flimsy and the copper spirals give it a dainty, decorative touch. Because the steel is dimpled, it allows for some air flow under the cuff. I have a different cuff bracelet that is heavy sterling silver and in hot weather my wrist sweats under the metal. This bracelet hasn't seemed to do that so far. The reality is actually prettier than the image in the photo
