This item was attractive. The problem for me were the beads that were used inside. They aren't smooth, metal pellets that I have seen in other, similar items. They were oddly shaped plastic beads that made the worst racket - I can't stress this enough. You can remove them and replace them. It would be better if the manufacturer would change the materials and make the sound more soothing. It's making me tense just thinking about the noise this made when I tried to get used to it.

Nothing fancy here. At first I was slightly disappointed as I held the drum flat and slightly tilted from side to side, then I held the drum flat and slowly tilted in a circular clockwise motion. Very nice. Calming and meditative. I like it!

This was a present for my son in law, and he loved it. I is beautiful, functional, and a lot of fun.

A friend of mine had a Ocean Surf drum. When I visited her I couldn't put it down. So when I saw the drum on Great Offer Stock I had to get it, even though the cat doesn't like it.
