Great for children who like to explore new ideas I purchased this for my grandson. He loves it. He makes it work, no batteries, no electronics. He is learning about chemical reactions: baking soda and vinegar; he is learning about flight paths etc.

does NOT work, leaks everywhere Leaks baking soda and vinegar everywhere (while you're trying to load itÂ…leakage would be normal during launch, of course). Once you've spilled the fuel everywhere trying to get it set to launch, you and your excited child stand there and watch it foam up a bit and thenÂ…. NOTHING. There are many similar complaints on the product's ** page. This is a disgrace to the Smithsonian name, and I don't plan to buy any of their other toys or educational products in the future.

Rocket kit Sent this to my 7 yr old grandson. He had no trouble putting it together but tried repeatedly to fly the rocket with no results. He was very disappointed especially when they followed the instructions to the letter.
