5.3.16 Update - This cot is still amazing. It definitely does not double as a full-time bed, as I have slept on it for three nights in-a-row on two different occasions now. (Boy, that third night is a hard night!) However, if you need a short-term solution and are tired of air mattresses that deflate as you sleep, this is perfect. I'm a 5'4" woman who's been anywhere from 140-155 pounds while using this cot. I'm a side sleeper, so my shoulders start to hurt because there's little give to the fabric, but back sleepers should be in heaven. Also, remember that air will travel beneath you and you won't trap any body heat, so you might need extra insulation in colder weather (like a sleeping bag, or in my case, a thick fleece blanket).
Minus the missing rubber foot (O sent one out) and a grease stain the size of a nickel on the fabric, this really is a quality cot. I've not spent the night on it, but I did lay on it to test out its sturdiness, and it holds up. My son took it to an indoor camp for a week and loved it. He is 6' and 150lbs and said it was spacious and comfortable. Since then, he has had one friend stay the night on it, and he also said it was quite comfortable. It really beats an air mattress ten-fold. The downsides are that it is quite heavy and the item is large. Also, there are fabric flaps that Velcro over the metal folding parts on either side when the cots opened, which are an awesome idea...but don't forget to undo the Velcro when folding the cot or the metal will bust right thru the fabric. That's what the kid did. Just be sure to follow the folding instructions, and you'll be fine. Fold the cot by lifting up at the two black handles in the middle of the fabric, and it will close the way it's supposed to. Overall, this is really a quality item.
