I am a proud owner of a VX-R 2-7X33mm FireDot, that I'm currently using on my .416 Rigby. I chose this scope for it's promising all rounder capabilities, which is very often demanded by the thick African Bush where I live and hunt. The 2-7 zoom together with the FireDot, allows me to take a comfortable shot whether the animal is anything from 20 to 200meters out, or even on a charge. For those who are familiar with the .416, also know that it is a rifle respected by many a hunter, designed for dangerous game. In other words, it packs a punch, which means only the toughest scopes on the market fit the criteria.. I can honestly say, my Leupold impresses me more every day.
