It's a Lamiglass, it's arguably the best brand name/ material you can buy in a fishing rod and deservedly so. Flexible like you cannot imagine and able to take more than it's rated in the hands of an experienced angler. Super forgiving if you're an intermediate and an eye opener if you're a novice. This is top of the line fishing equipment. I pulled in a 14lb striped bass from the surf with this rod. It took some time, but the rod held up as I was aware of the rod's ~5lb max pressure and the fight was worth every second Five pounds of constant pressure is enough for this type of fish if you wait him out. The sensitivity & whipping action of this rod is phenomenal it can toss a 1oz lure the way it should be tossed. Tons of fun with this rod's action, just take your time and let the rod do it's "thing" when you hook-up. If you like to "muscle" the fish in, this rod is not for you, (unless you're going for fish 3lbs or under).
