Good cooling, weak cover material The mat definitely was cool to the touch, and my dog loves it. It's surprisingly heavy. The cover ripped after a few weeks of use. Unclear if it ripped because of my dog's claws, or because I stepped on it and it sort of slid perhaps tearing the cover. But the liquid/gel inside started leaking. I've patched it with duct tape so the pad is still somewhat useable on hot days

Pet Cooling Gel Pad This pad does stay cool for a long time, but once it gets hot, it is hard to get cool again. Probably would work better on concrete than carpet.

Cooling Gel Pet Mat My little dog loves this mat. It is very hot where we live, sometimes even at night, and whenever she gets too warm she loves to lay on it. It can get a little slippery but she doesn't seem to mind at all. I keep it on the end of the bed, and she knows to cool off, lay on the mat. My granddaughter thought I had bought her a yoga mat. It feels a little padded, and I can't say enough good things about it. Sorry for the dogs that don't like it, they are really missing out. It actually is big enough for 2 dogs her size, she's about 16 1/2 pounds. Thank you so much.

Dog loves it, but too small My Bernese Mountain Dog Puppy loves it, but he is only 31 pounds at 12 weeks and will need 3 XL mats at least by the time he is full grown. Love the product, just wish it was bigger

He likes it My Zeus (dog) seems to like it but he said to give only 4 stars because it is not thick enough to provide comfort on the hard ground and he worries about its durability. Time will tell.

My dog loved it, but it had a hole My dog loved this. I had it a week or so, when we took it to my sister-in-laws. I had folded it back the way it was folded in the box for travel, but when I went to get it, there was gel everywhere. The seam created by the fold, had a hole in it. I couldn't think how to save this to send it back, so I tossed it. So I am very bummed. My dog is back to sleeping in front of the door on the tile. Maybe we will try again. The price wasn't too bad.

Cool to the touch It does stay cool but, my dog does everything not to lay on it. I think it is the gel texture he is not keen on...or maybe the color. Even when he is hot I will slide it under him and he will move so as not to touch it. I can't figure it out. If I throw a sheet over it then it's not so much an issue. I think if I can just get him to try it he will like it. He was kind of that way about a heated dog mat too. He wouldn't lay completely on it but, now he will more so. He prefers my rugs, pillows, or blankets... :/

Undecided My dog does not usually like sleeping on cushions as he gets too hot. This one I put in his usual spot for sleeping, and he will stay on it for a while. I gave him treats and taught him to sleep on it as his place, but I can't decide if he really likes it. I'll try it in the car and see if it does keep you cooler in Florida.

Bonnie I'm sure it works great but my Siberian Husky will have nothing to do with it! I've even tried lying on it to get him to join me....he'll sit on it at that point but loses interest and walks away. Can't get him to lay on it long enough for the cooling effect to begin!
