Yes, fatty you can fit in this chair. I am fat (5'7 240 lbs) and I can fit my fat butt into this chair. If you are not cow sized (over 250) you too will be able to fit into this chair comfortably. It has a wide seat, low back, and can go high enough to fit a drafting table. With diet and exercise, I am assuming this chair will be even more comfortable.

More than I expected! I did read the reviews and was not disappointed. Beautiful, comfortable and super easy to put together. Love the sloped arms, does not take up much floor space and is adjustable in height. Can go pretty high and low. So might be good for a drafting table as well as a regular desk.

Awesome Chair! I remember unboxing this chair, throwing away the directions (because how hard is it to assemble a chair, really?) and then putting it away immediately for an upcoming move. It was packaged very well! When I moved everything, all pieces were in tact, and it was incredibly easy to assemble (even without directions!). The company provides everything you need. The chair itself looks very expensive, and is a great addition to my office.

Loving it This chair looks *way* more expensive than it is! I bought it in white. It is really beautiful and sturdy. The wood is real wood. I was worried it might have a cheap-looking finish that could chip off but I was absolutely wrong. It is gorgeous and incredibly well made. Stunning! The seat comes assembled so this chair is very simple to put together. It's pretty comfortable to sit in. I'm used to a high back office chair that you can lay back on & rest. Obviously that's not what this chair is for, it's not a problem, it's taking me some getting used to. Beside that, this chair is perfect and I love it!

I measured my chair - seat height at max is just under 20 inches. I held a yardstick up in front of me and feel the height of the chair is too low for a 36" counter, at least for my 5'2 1/2" height - I wouldn't be high enough up. I thought there were some similar style counter stools available.

The seat range it 17.5" to 22". My bar stool seat height is 24". So I tried it and while I could use it at the bar, it felt too short. It is a beautiful chair and I'm very pleased with it.

I just saw the same manufacturer's bar stool. It is the same design, but it goes from 23" to 32" height at the seat. It is adorable. It's on this same page as the office chair about halfway down.

Unfortunately, my desk height is 31 1/2" and its perfect for me 5' 1" & the chair doesn't rise any higher. I don't believe it would work for a 36" counter/desk. Hope this helps. I do like my chair a lot.

I get about 21" and agree it would be too low for 36"H. General rule is to allow about 12" between chair seat height and table/counter height. If the table/counter has an apron piece, make sure there's an 8-10" space for knee room, underneath. I'd look for a chair/stool whose seat will be 24" high. Good luck.
