I recently purchased this item for a home office setup. Overall, the unit looks good and the finishing is decent.....but overall the design needs improvement. The instructions provided with the unit are very poor and have mistakes (more below). After spending numerous hours in putting this together, I was finishing up on the hutch....only to find out that one of the wood panels provided was wrong. I reached out to Great Offer Stock and immediately provided them with pictures about the wrong part and also additional pictures to show why it was wrong. I had to go thru 3 individuals to get help. The individual promised me that someone will call back....no one did. I had to call the next day and request for an update. Their typical replacement policy can take 5-10 days. I had to push them to send me the panel ASAP....which they are working on currently. As for the design, here are some of the issues I observed: The pedestals are a bit tricky to put together. The instructions about the sliders are poor. Unless you are careful about matching the right and left slider, you will have issues with lining up the drawers. It takes a lot of adjusting. I completed the desk first and then worked on the pedestals. They inform you at the end of the pedestal install that you need to install additional parts on the desk to attach the pedestal drawer units. Also, the part number for the desk is not in the book. If you have got the desk on it's feet, to install the pedestals, you will have to place it down again on the floor....it's heavy. While the pedestals attach to the bottom of the desk just fine, they expect you to screw the back of the pedestal to the back of the desk......this is a major design flaw...especially since the back panel is long and it does not have any holes to line-up the pedestal unit. Once you get that done, you have to lift the entire unit back on it's feet.....now with two pedestals.......it becomes very heavy. As for the hutch, not sure why they have used a very heavy molding that does not provide any value other then looks. The worse part is that the hutch does not attach to the desk....they provide you with dual-sided stickers and expect you to lift this heavy hutch and align it to stick it to the desk correctly. This is very tricky if one of the side of the desk is against a wall. You will have to prepare the entire unit away from the walls and then push is in it's location. Good luck if you have carpet or good wood flooring.......and be careful....the hutch is secured by 6 stickers!!!

This is a functional desk but it is way too heavy. Being made of particle board adds extra weight. Right design but wrong material.

I ordered this desk from Great Offer Stock & this has been the worst delivery experience of my life. From the day I got the notification of shipment YRC's website stated a delivery date of 4/16/13. When the evening of 4/15/13 came & I still hadn't received a call with a time window, I called them. I was told if I hadn't called it wouldn't have been delivered the next day & that someone would call me before 8am with a time window. 8am the morning of 4/16 came & went. I called again. They tell me it's not being delivered that day but they can do any other day that week. That does me no good given I took the 16th off of work. They lied & said they called me and left me a voicemail on 4/15, which they did not. They lied & said they followed up with an email, which they did not. Then they had the nerve to charge me $91 for inside delivery?! What residential delivery isn't for inside?! The only person I spoke to during any of my number of calls who had an idea what was going on was Jody. Unfortunately, even she couldn't make any of this worth my time & trouble I am disgusted, appalled & angry. This was my first experience with YRC frieght & I can guarantee it will be my last. Why is Great Offer Stock still using them?

The desk is very good as a work desk. The pullout keyboard tray was missing but O immediately corrected the mistake. Only thing that I find somewhat defective is the aligning of the cabinets on the hutch are off. You would have to eyeball when installing b/c the holes on the wood/s are not accurate on how it should be installed.

I am almost finished putting it up. i had no idea it was so big. it is beautiful but takes a lot of space in the family room. It would do more justice in an office. I am keeping it, just have to get smaller chairs for viewing television and games. I now have my own office. It was a bit dificult putting together and came in five boxes. I should have known by the boxes, YA THINK!!
