This bag is everything I had hoped it would be. My HP ZBook(SM) measures 16 3/8" wide and 10 1/2" deep, and it is a snug fit in the space provided, but it is really not difficult to get it positioned properly. There is a nice, wide Velcro(SM) strap to secure the computer, and a handy compartment, with latching cross-straps to secure charger and other accessories, along with a couple of mesh pockets.
There are three other storage areas, the largest of which I call the briefcase section, because it holds everything I had previously carried in a shoulder bag (which was too small for this size laptop). Numerous pockets and compartments, all of which are very usable.
Selling points for me were the narrow aspect, which will facilitate rolling down an airplane aisle, and the fact that it should readily fit under an airplane seat, providing it is not overstuffed. The handle works quite nicely, and everything about this bag seems to be durable and well made.
A surprising bonus is the rear compartment which houses shoulder straps, allowing the bag to be worn as a backpack. There is also a flap the extends and secures to cover the wheels when worn this way.
There are also a couple of 4" by 8" side pockets, which zipper open wide and have mesh sides to keep the contents from spilling out. I use one for my phone charger, because it is so handy that way, and I am still working on finding a use for the other pocket.
When full loaded, the bag is stable and has no tendency to tip over. Only when I remove the laptop does it get a little off-balance, but when I unlatch the front pocket and flip it over the top to access the "briefcase section", it is once again stable.
I can see the quality of the construction and materials, so it should last a long time, so the fact that the bag is so functional, with more than enough storage for my needs is a great discovery.
Of all the wheeled bags I looked at for 17" laptops, this is the only one I found that holds the computer with the widest aspect vertical, and that makes a big difference every day, just wheeling it around corners and through doorways. I am very happy with the value provided at this price point.
