Excellent "crossover" carryon! Great deal.
Exactly what I was looking for, this bag is a cross between a laptop briefcase and a traditional carryon for clothing/personal supples. The laptop pocket holds two of my laptops very well. I tried it with the MacBook Air (13 inch) while it was enclosed in it's own sleeve, along with a very bulk 17 inch widescreen HP (not enclosed in anything). The HP just fit, I wouldn't expect anything larger to fit. What I like is that you can easily remove the sleeve so for flights on smaller jets, if the gate agent whats to confiscate your carryon to put it underneath in the belly of the plane, you can easily remove your laptop sleeve to take onboard with you. There are compartments for essentials like your passport, id, etc.
The rest of the bag can hold a day's worth of clothing, however, I wouldn't use it as a piece of luggage to depend on holding your clothing. Just good to have for a spare set in case your main luggage gets lost. Or if you want to hold a change of clothes when going from say, Chicago in January, to Miami!
I would compare this to the Samsonite Silhouette 2 carryon roller, just not as luxurious looking. However, saving about $150 is worth the compromise! I like the attention to detail with all of the compartments, and the band on the back of the bag, so that it can easily be propped on top of a large suitcase with the handle of that bag threading through this carryon.
Very happy with the purchase. Arrived in perfect condition.
