I bought these for an in-home "library" - good price, I thought, for getting several bookcases that looked somewhat classy. They were a pain to put together, but any assembly-required furniture probably would be in multiples... I was disappointed with the design, though, once I realized after getting them together that the pieces that frame the front sides of the bookcase cover an inch or more of the shelves - which means it'll cover up a book's spine and make it difficult to remove if you've got a full shelf. Does hold up well, though, with shelves full of books.

This is worth the money I paid for it ", was easy to put together and I'm a 76 year old woman who has put a lot of furniture pieces together over the years: I did not have help for any steps in the process, not even standing it up and moving it in to the place I wanted it. I will say that it pays to follow the step by step directions, and all the holes lined up and it looks nice.

Assembling was fairly easy but could have been improved with some written instructions. Overall it is a good looking piece.

This is attractive and sturdy. One thing my husband didn't notice when putting it together, is that the top shelf should go upside down as it is only stained on one side. Because this wasn't mentioned in the instructions, the unstained side is what you see as the underside of the top, if that makes sense. But even that is hardly noticeable. It's a lovely bookcase.
