I've had a long history with vacuum cleaners. By 2006, I had gone through 11 vacuums in 10 years. At that point, I decided no more cheap vacuums -- I could've purchased more than one Dyson with all I'd spent on them! So I did pay $500 for a Dyson Animal and absolutely LOVED it. Wore that thing out -- it lasted ten years though with NO PROBLEMS whatsoever!!! Sooooo, a few months ago, I needed a new vacuum, but really didn't have the funds to cover a brand new Dyson, so I researched my heart out, asked a ton of friends and family, and ended up getting convinced that a Shark is fantastic. I bought a Shark. At first, I was impressed. The suction was comparable to my old Dyson. But. The bin fills up way too quickly, and if you don't empty it really often, the suction is compromised and it makes this horrific loud sound. Plus, the cord is not as long, so I was always unplugging and replugging while vacuuming. And if that wasn't all enough, the hose is not half as long, and it doesn't have lovable attachments like the Dyson; using the lift off hose felt clunky and awkward because the size of the end of it was larger. Anyway, last week, it stopped sucking yet again, even though the bin was empty, and I have tried to de-clog all the areas that tend to clog. I finally had had it!!! I came to Great Offer Stock, and sprinted for this Dyson DC65 - Complete --- it just arrived today. I could not be happier. My floors look amazing again, I am so in love with the attachments, and the long hose let me even do my ten foot ceilings!!! What was I thinking getting a Shark after 10 loving years with my Dyson??? Never again. Only Dyson for me.
