My review of the Sunlight 5-foot Floor Lamp This is an attractive looking lamp. The neck of the lamp can be maneuvered to focus light in different areas of the room. While typing this review, the lamp is about 6 feet away from me and have adjusted the neck of the lamp to focus the bright light at the computer. The bright light from the bulb is easy on my eyes. I would recommend buying this lamp with the included bulb if one wants a good looking lamp and doesn't mind a bulb that only has "focused" light and does not light up the entire room. I intend to buy another lamp from Great Offer Stock in the near future, only this time I will buy it with the twirlly (sp?) shaped 27 watt sunlight bulb that fits into the "socket" of the lamp. This bulb will "engulf" the entire room with light.

FANTASTIC!!! We have had a terrible time for years finding just the perfect light for the bedroom. This one is it!!! If I had to say one bad thing it would be the light when turned off has to cool off before it is completely dark. Nothing major unless you are one of those people who must have 100% darkness to sleep.

Excellent Value Shipping: Securely and well-packed; easy to get out of the packaging. Assembly: From box to plugged in and turned on - 10 minutes. Construction: Support poles are metal, not plastic, and screw into the head and base securely. Base is heavy and well-balanced; not tippy. Neck is a "corregated" type of plastic and finish of lamp head is a matte black type of plastic. Wires that thread down through the pole from the head are easily connected with a snap-type of connector to the wire coming out of the base. Appearance: Functionally spartan and unobtrusive. Doesn't stand out - looks modern and minimalist in a contemporary decor; looks utilitarian in a craft room. Light: Very bright, excellent for reading or doing craft or art work where you need to see the true colors. A white light, rather than the yeloow/golden of regular bulbs, so it's much cooler looking than the warmer lamp light of regular bulbs. How we like it: we love it and plan on buying a couple more at this extremely good price.

Very Functional My husband is all about a lot of light- I am at an age where the less light the better :) We just re did our home office and I wanted some kind of bright light in there for him to read without being too bright. This is a perfect fit. The price is right. I assembled this myself ( I am so proud :) ) Its perfect. I mean if you want to spend like $500.00 for some trendy stainless steel floor lamp. This lamp is extremely suitable for my needs The lamp arrived well within the expected time. My wife assembled it relatively quickly. However, when the fluorescent bulb was inserted, a mistaken "click" sound made her believe that the bulb was properly set in place. The bulb fell when the lamp was tilted and broke. To our very pleasant surprise, Great Offer Stock sent a replacement bulb in no time and the lamp is complete and working quite well now. We have become loyal customers of Great Offer Stock now.

This light is not meant for light therapy. This description clearly says that it is for helping to see better. After researching a bit I found what I believe is the exact same product and here is the description given: Simulates sunlight FOR VIVID COLORS AND REDUCED EYESTRAIN. I love this lamp! This is great, easy to use and practical sunlight lamp. The amount of light the bulb provides is extremely bright and was just what I needed as a cake decorator. I am not sure that I can answer your question about emitting UV rays, as it seems more technical, and I don't want to give you false information. I will recommend you to do more research, read more about sunlight info on Wikipedia or contact the manufacturer of the lamp. However, I can tell you that, one of the main reason for purchasing this lamp, was based on all the reviews ( thank you to all the reviewers!) and how bright the light is.
