I took my time putting this together and have been enjoying it.
Read MoreLove it but for the doors that can't close and are poorly designed. Also, extremely difficult to put together.
Read MoreOne corner of the top and the bottom (as they are the largest pieces and packaged together) was damaged slightly. Everything else was fine and packaged very well. I would just suggest to Great Offer Stock or the manufacturer to double up on the corner protection of the large box. I put this together mostly by myself with only help to put the top on. There are 100 dowels!! That alone (dipping the dowel in wood glue first) took probably three hours! I took my time and didn't rush. I read other reviews where people said holes did't match up to the point they had to drill new holes. All of my pieces fit together perfectly with very little manipulating to get them to match. The hardest part is putting on the swinging doors!! The instructions weren't hard if you take your time and consider how the cabinet is supposed to go together. The only part I messed up on and had to drill small holes was on the side panels for the doors. I put both the panels with predrilled screw holes for the hinges on the same door. I just measured and it worked. Much to my surprise the doors are evenly spaced all around. Other people also commented on the doors not being able to hold much weight. There are at least five screws per hinge and mine are perfectly fine. The entire thing seems very sturdy. I am a woman but pretty handy. I would recommend that you just take your time and think about what you are doing before you put parts together.
Read MoreThis product took over 6 hours to put together. The problem was that several pre-drilled holes for screws did not line up for shelving. Since it was a Christmas gift, adjustments to remedy the problem added unnecessary amounts of time to the total project. Materials are nice looking but will not hold up with normal use.
Read MoreAssembly took a long time but was not difficult. We chose this over others for the length (our tv was purchased a long time ago, when even the smaller plasma TVs cost an arm and a leg) and the storage capacity. Looks great and boosts the TV to a good height. So far, no complaints.
Read Moregreat addition to our front room , took awhile to put together but great item
Read MoreThis TV Stand is solid! The way everything locks into place is great!! It took 3 hours to assemble and it was a pain as the directions weren't very clear, but it was worth the hassle. The one flaw is the handles. They are made of cheap plastic and take away from the beauty and quality from the rest of the stand. But I plan to get metal ones from Menards to replace them soon.
Read MoreYes it takes a while to put together, but it's so worth it. This is really good quality! We bought other pieces of furniture right before this that had to be put together and my husband said this is way better quality than any of the others. People compliment it all the time as well. The storage size is huge! We have a 60 inch tv on it, looks perfect.
Read MoreCame scratched, extremely hard to follow directions making building very difficult, easily dented & damaged....it's used as a garage storage table now.
Read MoreAm come to damage too, in the bottoms finish, so we need to fit.
Read MoreHorrible particle board. Mine was damaged when it arrived and we had to throw it out.
Read MoreSpot on! Our new TV cabinet is modern and spacious. I was surprised how many CD's, DVD's and even old VHS's it holds!! Lots of compliments!
Read MoreWe bought this so we could store things against crawling babies and it worked really well. It was a bit more complicated to put together than we would have liked, but we've had this product for 3+ years and its still looks brand new.
Read MoreThe TV Stand is very attractive and functional. Assembly is time consuming.
Read MoreFully assembled this piece looks great. However is was a three-evening colossal effort to put it all together Also, as some of the other reviewers pointed out, the doors are heavy and don't support much weight before they droop a bit.
Read MoreGreat storage, handle broke off and had to glue back on. Does not hide dust or dirt well.
Read MoreI bought this almost 2 years ago then a series of events prevented me from putting it together. A few days ago, I was finally able to break this out of the box and start assembling it. Like everyone else says, you have to have patience with this. There are a lot of components, all cheaply made, so taking your time is pretty important. To preface - these (2) boxes, while awaiting the grand opening, were not moved from place to place to place - they were moved once, about 15 feet, and stayed put. They're also insanely heavy, so it's not like they can be easily tossed around and get damaged that way. That said, 6 of the pieces were severely damaged (the dark veneer was peeled off in places) and, due to the nature of this composite material, aren't going to be easily touched up...I'm still wracking my crafter's brain to figure out what to use! At this point, I don't think there is anything, so that's my main disappointment. Most of the other pieces were just nicked or dented in places you won't see, so I don't care about those. It sounds like most people didn't have this problem, so maybe they have started making them better since I bought it. The assembly part can be confusing at times if you try to go by the diagrams (which holes to select for the dowels - holes outnumber dowels almost 4 to 1 so you kind of have to use good engineering judgement), but be patient and it will come together. Having a partner you work well with would be a plus, but I enjoy doing this kind of thing on my own, so I don't mind that I'm taking my time. I've been doing this bit by bit when I get home from work and it's coming together nicely. (I also think the breaks help tamp what could be a very frustrating process. Ha.) Like someone else said, the handles are a cheap "silver" plastic, which I have spray painted an oil-rubbed bronze until I change them out altogether. The dark finish is really nice, though, and it's true to the picture. I wouldn't care about any of the other "flaws" if the visible damage hadn't been SO bad. All in all, I wish I had gotten something else, but I'm not too upset because it was not expensive, and therefore I didn't expect perfection. I just wouldn't recommend it, I think there are better in this price range now.
Read MoreThis TV stand is nice looking once it's put together. However, putting it together is a super long process. It took hours. HOURS. Yikes! Also, we had several scratched pieces and one bent one (the top piece) from shipping errors. All we needed was paint to touch up the scratches but Great Offer Stock (and the company that makes this cabinet) wouldn't send us any. Super frustrating. So we have a brand new media stand/cabinet that has scratches on the front. Lovely. Also, the hardware this comes with is super cheap. You get what you pay for, I guess.
Read MoreSo this is a nice piece of furniture and it does the job. The flaws I had with it were that it literally came in 5,000 pieces. So you have a lot of work ahead of you. Pay very close attention to detail. Even though I'm pretty handy, there was still a major mistake at the end. So have patience. Also, parts of the furniture were cracked or messed up. But it was nothing I felt like I needed to return it for (especially after talking all 5,000 pieces out of the box).
Read MoreThis looks great once assembled except for the fact that mine was delivered with a dented front left corner on the top. But the assembly took a good 4 hours, there are so many steps and so many pieces. I'm not 100% sure it was worth it but it does look good.
