"Can this be used outdoors"
This is a very sturdy piece of furniture. Needed a counter top for the office break room but didn't want the bulkiness of heavy looking cabinets in the small space. It is narrow enough for what I needed and goes great with the steel top table I purchased also. It took a little over an hour to put together but instructions were a bit hard to understand at some points. Turned out great and very pleased with the purchase.

Wonderful addition to my kitchen We absolutely love this Kitchen island. it provides great storage for our Kitchen Aid on the bottom shelf (we love that it isn't taking up countertop real estate or buried in a cabinet), it sturdy and looks more expensive than what it is priced at. We searched a long time for a good fit for us and this has proved to be perfect to showcase some of our more attractive cookware as well as provide additional space to prepare meals. Counter top is sturdy, cleans well and is the perfect size.

Kitchen Island This arrived 4 days after I ordered it. Went together in about an hour and 1/2 with help. Instructions are easy to follow. I the kitchen island is very pretty, sturdy and heavy so it does not slide around. Not sure what I am going to put on the bottom shelf because I have 3 golden retrievers and pots or dishes on this shelf would not be a good idea. But over all it is a perfect size, looks great and is very functional. Blends in beautifully. I would highly recommend this item.

Nice but... This is a nice island but there are a couple of things that I wanted to point out in the review. The legs are not stainless steel or even stainless steal like, they are painted a metalic color that is slightly darker than brushed nickel. They don't look bad at all, but from the pictures I thought it was going to be lighter/stainless steel. The island is big, the perspective of the picture makes it look like it's slightly shorter than the counters in the background of the picture, It is actually about 1/2 inch taller than my cabinets and takes up a large amount of my kitchen. The shelves are also BIG and the slats are wide, I thought the picture had folded towels in there but upon closure inspection it is actually cook books. Folded towel will fall through the slats unless you put something over them or use a basket. It is a very nice island but check the measurements before you buy it!

Do not try this alone This kitchen island is really beautiful but do not try, as I did, to put this together alone. The pieces are too big and too heavy and I found myself struggling to line it all up properly. Took me 3 hours and by that time even if I had hated it, I would not have taken it apart and sent it back! Thankfully I really do love it. Worth the price!

Excellent Quality / Easy Assembly If Done Right The Orleans Kitchen Island W/ Butcher Block Top is a very nice piece. It's very sturdy, well finished and easy to put together. The butcher block top is not a true butcher block top. It is finished with a medium brown stain (they call it caramel) and finished with a clear coating. Do not cut or chop directly on the top. The finish does seem to be fairly durable for everyday use. The legs and frame are either painted or power coated with a distressed finished (silver with black brush marks). I don't know which process they used. Either way, if you scratch or chip the finish on the legs and frame you can touch it up with some silver paint. When assembling, DO NOT TIGHTEN any screws until ALL screws (including the ones going in the top) are properly threaded in their holes. This is the reason people are having trouble assembling this island. Also, start assembling this island on it's side, not upside down. It's easier this way. Took me 30 minutes to assemble by myself (I'm a construction mechanic). Best of all the wife loves it. Happy wife, happy life.

Great price and looks awesome! This island completes my kitchen. It looks beautiful and is easy to take care of. It's big enough to work on and holds small appliances, cookbooks, etc. It comes in two boxes but is very easy to take care of. I would recommend this to a friend! If you are thinking about it . . . . get it!!
