i've read some reviews concerning this light and it was mentioned that the light would switch on/off by itself. This can happen with some touch control switching due to another switching device (such as a refrigerator, window AC, vacuum cleaner, etc.) being on the same electrical circuit. The variant in the electrical current when the device turns on/off causes the touch control switch to think someone has touched the lamp, so it turns on/off by itself. there is nothing wrong with lamp, that is how the touch controls work hen you touch the lamp. this doesn't occur with every touch control switch, but not uncommon. some touch controls may not work properly and require a switch replacement . test light on clean dedicated circuit to verify proper operation.
