It works I bought this doubting it would actually hold my rug in place, but figured I would give it a try. The rug is in a high traffic area...our entry. I was tired of having to reposition the rug every time someone entered or exited our home. But it works. Not only does the pad give the rug a nice cushiony feeling (without making the rug so thick that the door would catch on it) it holds the rug in place. I haven't repositioned it once since adding this pad. I am very pleased. Bought a huge one for our family room rug which is 10'x13'. Same deal....rug no longer shifts. Buy it...you'll like it.
